Consequently, when choosing a quality artificial lawn, we will have to look, first of all, at who manufactured it and what guarantee it offers us regarding its product. But we must also take other factors into account.   <\/p>\n<h2>Aspects to Observe when We are Going to Buy a Better Quality Artificial Lawn 2019<\/h2>\n<p>These are the lawn characteristics that we must check before purchasing it, fundamentally, five:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Yarn quality<\/strong><br \/>\nThe strands that make up the lawn are called yarn, and there are two types. On the one hand, you have the microfilament, which is harder and therefore more resistant to wear. And, on the other hand, the fibrillated, which is wider than the previous one, is cut lengthwise and is usually of poorer quality. Consequently, we recommend the first one, which, although less pleasant to the touch, is more durable.<br \/>\nIt is also important to check the height of the yarn, because the shorter it is, the less amount of it there will be in the lawn and the shorter its duration will be.   <\/li>\n<li><strong>The Footprint<\/strong><br \/>\nIn close relation to the previous feature, there is the footprint of the lawn. That is, its behavior after passing over it. The more &#8220;memory&#8221; it has, that is, the faster it returns to its verticality, the better the artificial lawn will be. Consequently, we do not advise those that are excessively silky, but those that have a certain hardness. The ideal lawn is one that, being soft, maintains good recovery.    <\/li>\n<li><strong>DTex Artificial Turf<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the name given to the density of the fiber that makes up the artificial turf. More technically, the weight of one kilometer of yarn expressed in grams. However, what we find expressed in the products is a fraction: the decitex, simply because almost nobody buys a thousand meters of the product. Consequently, the denser and with a greater amount of yarn a lawn is, the more DTex it will have.    <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3101 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"artificial lawn on terrace\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-700x700.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.gardenstore.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/retoques-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>The stitches<\/strong><br \/>\nRelated to the above, we have the so-called &#8220;gauge measurement&#8221;, which determines the space between two stitches and, consequently, the density of the artificial lawn in question. The most used for residential gardens is 3\/8, which offers good resistance to wear and, therefore, a long duration. <\/li>\n<li><strong>The base and the ballast<\/strong><br \/>\nAs for the former, it can be made of latex or polyurethane. Although there are not many differences in terms of fiber grip and resistance, we advise the latex one, as it does not contain heavy metals such as cadmium or lead, which makes it more ecological. For its part, the ballast is the filling material that is added to the fibers. The better it is, the more &#8220;memory&#8221; these will have and the fewer insects will nest in your lawn. The most recommended is white silica sand.    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In conclusion, when choosing a quality artificial lawn, we have to look at all these aspects: the quality of the yarn and the filling material, the footprint, the stitches and the DTex.
